4) Attend a virtual information event
Get into Teaching are currently hosting a range of online events for now as face to face events aren't possible due to social distancing. These virtual events cover topics such as changing career to becoming a teacher. Their virtual events also cover how to prepare a teacher training application as well. You'll get useful information and have the opportunity to ask any questions you have to a panel of specialists.
5) Begin preparing your application
Now is a great time to familiarise yourself with the application process for initial teacher training. You could begin drafting your personal statement, drawing on any teaching work experience you have to support your application and demonstrate why you'd make a great teacher.
Use this time to identify two referees who you know well enough to highlight why you'd be suitable for a career in teaching.
